Changing model of CSR In The Age of COVID-19
Corporate Social Responsibility in India has evolved over time, largely depending upon the societal changes. For decades organisations have supported NGOs or government bodies to uplift the underprivilege sect of the society or worked towards making the surroundings more sustainable. As the world stands united to fight the battle against Coronavirus, corporates came together to support the people to combat this pandemic. For organisations its no longer a CSR activity but purely corporate citizenship. Under Corporate Social Responsibility in India , organisationsare running volunteer programs to help the frontline workers in fighting against COVID-19. They are donating food, essentials and monies to the Care Funds or to the people in need.
